To help keep Woof Wag Festival a safe, welcoming and community-focused event, we ask all exhibitors, traders, and activity partners to follow the guidelines below.
Wicksteed Park is a charitable trust, and the ongoing
cost of removing waste from events is significant. To ensure the festival
remains financially sustainable and accessible for everyone, we ask all exhibitors and partners to take responsibility for managing and removing their own waste.
Clear Up Your Stand Area
All exhibitors and activity providers are responsible for
ensuring their stand or activity area is left clean and tidy at the end of the
event.
Please ensure that:
- All litter, packaging, and materials generated by your stall are cleared away.
- Your allocated pitch is returned to the same condition it was found in.
- No materials, structures, or waste are left behind when you leave the site.
Large Packaging and Trade Waste
Please do NOT place large packaging or trade waste in the
festival bins.
Festival bins are provided for public visitor use only.
Examples of trade waste could include:
- Cardboard boxes
- Plastic wrapping
- Pallets
- Crates
- Packaging from stock deliveries
- Stand-building materials
- Take large packaging and trade waste away with them
- Dispose of waste responsibly at their own recycling centre or waste facility

Dog Waste and Animal Safety
Woof Wag Festival is a dog-friendly event, and we must
ensure the safety and hygiene of both dogs and visitors.
Please note:
- Dog waste must always be picked up immediately, supervise your own area
- Waste should be placed in designated bins only.
- If you run out of poo bags, please speak to the festival team.
Naturally, we do expect owners to clean up after their dogs and use
the bins provided throughout the site to maintain hygiene and safety, however,
accidents can happen, please be vigilant.
Food waste and dropped food should also be cleared promptly
as some foods can be dangerous or toxic to dogs.
Glass and Hazardous Materials
To protect dogs and visitors:
- Avoid bringing glass containers wherever possible.
- Ensure any glass used on your stand is handled safely and removed from site.
- Broken glass must be cleaned up immediately.
Environmental Responsibility
All exhibitors share responsibility for keeping the festival
environmentally friendly.
We encourage you to:
- Reduce packaging wherever possible
- Reuse materials and signage
- Avoid disposable plastics where alternatives exist
- Take unused stock or promotional materials away with you
Final Site Check
Before leaving the site, please:

Remove all large packaging and stock containers,
to be disposed at your own recycling centre or similar suitable facility

Check the ground around your stand for litter
- ·
Dispose of waste correctly or remove it from
site, as listed above
- ·
Leave your pitch clean and safe.
Failure to comply with these guidelines may affect
participation in future events.
